I called Evan at Wolfe Renovations as a last-ditch effort after nearly giving up on finding a contractor who consistently delivered quality work. I'm so glad I took that chance.

Evan and Jackie not only understood my vision, but they brought it to life beautifully. Evan renovated the kitchen in my South Asheville home, and every detail was thoughtfully planned and expertly executed. To top it off, the project came in under budget!

He's now renovating my 1953 Biltmore Forest home, and for the first time, I can simply wait impatiently for my newly renovated home...lol . I never have to wonder whether the work will be done well—it always is. Evan communicates clearly, listens carefully, and works with excellent subcontractors.

If you're looking for a contractor who delivers exceptional craftsmanship, stays on budget, and truly cares about the quality of the finished product, I highly recommend Wolfe Renovations.

I am so thankful we found Evan and Jackie! We had an odd, and somewhat small project to be done, and Evan was the only contractor out of several I called to even consider it. To him, it was a challenge. From beginning to end Evan was quick to respond to questions, and offering suggestions. He and his crew did an excellent job, and their attention to detail was top notch. I would never even consider using anyone else for our future building or remodeling needs!

A couple months ago Wolfe Builders enclosed a screen porch converting it to a laundry room/half bath. They work they did was excellent and Evan and Jackie knew exactly what I wanted. I am very pleased with the process and the results. I find the company to be very reasonably priced as well as flexible and easy to work with.

I whole heartedly recommend Evan Wolfe Building & Renovations for new builds or renos. Evan built my husband and I the most charming jewel box of a house fondly named Sunrise Treehouse. This was a complicated and steep lot to build on, but Evan pushed through. The build was maybe 1/4 finished when Helene hit, and that house stood tough and didn't budge. We absolutely love the attention he and his subs paid to the details. He is not afraid to ask questions and give suggestions. Evan is a excellent collaborator and GC.

Wolfe Building & Renovations exceeded my expectations in every way. As a homeowner in Asheville, I was looking for a general contractor I could trust to handle a basement conversion and transform my old carport into a bright, beautiful sunroom — and this husband-and-wife team delivered.

From our first consultation, they were honest, communicative, and hands-on throughout the entire process. They helped me reimagine my underused basement into a functional and cozy living space, and the sunroom they created is now my favorite room in the house. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail are truly top-notch.

What I appreciated most was their creative problem-solving and commitment to doing things right — not just fast. It’s clear they care about quality and treat every project like it’s their own home. If you’re looking for a general contractor in Asheville, NC who specializes in home renovations, attic and basement conversions, and small custom homes, I can’t recommend Wolfe Building & Renovations enough.

Evan is great on all fronts. As an electrician, and subcontractor, he is great to work for. Well organized, trustworthy and detail oriented contractor.

I have since hired Evan as the GC to build my home. The project is going very well. Great communication, attention to detail and calm demeanor. All very helpful in easing the stresses of building.

10/10 recommend

My partner and I hired Evan and his team to renovate our new house’s two full bathrooms before we moved in. We had never owned a home before or hired a contractor to do work like this so it was overwhelming at first! It felt great to work with and support a local small business in our new home and Evan felt like a partner in our vision. We went through a lot of design revisions and fundamentally changed the shape and layout of both rooms. We also managed the project from out of state. Evan was a great communicator and we felt like we always knew what was going on. He was realistic about how long it would take and his pricing was very reasonable. He sent lots of photo updates and it felt like he was just as passionate and excited about our home as we were! He also helped us get a new garage door! It was a very positive first experience with this kind of thing and Evan and his team are thoughtful, smart, kind, and just great people. I’ve included photos, the first two are from before, and the rest, with the light blue/green walls and blue/green/black tile are his work. Please hire the Wolfe team!

Evan Wolfe and crew built a beautiful deck for our church parsonage after storm damage necessitated complete demolition and a rebuild. He worked with us to meet our needs and made the whole process straightforward and easy. Thank you to Evan and his team! Laura L.

Evan helped after the storm when I had major damage to my home. He was quick to communicate with me and gave me options because I was dealing with insurance. His roofing crew came out within days after the storm and had me in the dry. I would not hesitate to call Wolfe Renovations with any and all repairs moving forward. He is local to Asheville area and cares about his clients. Thanks again Evan!

Evan converted my unfinished basement into a fully functional basement apartment. It was not a straightforward job, with lots of piping, duct work and windows to work around, but Evan went the extra mile to maximize its potential, making the space look amazing and function beautifully. He kept me aware and involved in every step of the process and went out of his way to do what he could to save on the cost of materials. Wolfe Renovations would be my first call if I have any renovation or building projects in the future!
